Associated Stevedoring was incorporated in February 1967 and was purchased by Western Stevedoring in 1969. The Company is active in providing full service stevedoring in all BC ports, specializing in the grain, log and steel sectors.

As a service contractor to Western, Associated’s activities are fully aligned with Western Stevedoring in areas of operation, management and customer service. Associated is committed to cost effective operations with continued
focus on the safety of our work force and attaining optimum productivity levels.

Associated leads the industry in log loading activities in BC. Through the introduction of exclusive and innovative automatic release log heads, Associated has improved safety and productivity levels. The improvement in safety has also been achieved through an active role in the development and introduction of training initiatives with the BC Maritime Employers Association and the ILWU.
