Western Stevedoring's Vancouver Island operations, previously known as Westcan Stevedoring and Westcan Terminals, has supervised the Nanaimo Assembly Wharf operations for more than 34 years. Under an operating agreement with the Port of Nanaimo, Western has also supervised terminal operations at Duke Point since the first cargo was received in 1981.
