Dave Lucas
President Terminals & Stevedoring

Since joining Western Stevedoring in 1985, Dave has progressed through a number of key positions in Western Stevedoring's operations and was promoted to President of Terminals and Stevedoring in 2019.  Dave is actively involved in representing Western Stevedoring on the Board of the BCMEA as well as a number of waterfront industry committees within the BC Maritime Employers Association. Throughout his career he has completed executive management and industry related programs including the Transportation Management Diploma Program with the BC Institute of Technology which was foundational to his waterfront career.

Kelly Williams
Vice President, Terminals and Stevedoring

Kelly joined Western Stevedoring in October 2017 as Vice President, Terminals & Stevedoring. Prior to joining Western Stevedoring, Kelly worked in excess of 20 years with two major dry bulk shipowners in various locations around the globe including Asia, South America, Europe and North America. His most recent positions were the global Head of Open Hatch Division for d’Amico Dry Limited based in Monaco and General Manager for Gearbulk Shipping’s West Coast North America activities based in Vancouver.

David Roberts
General Manager, PNWTS

David Roberts has been working in the tourist industry over the last 25 years. He started as a tour bus driver and has gone on to manage a number of tourism companies ranging from attractions to transportation to sightseeing. After opening his own Company, A Capital Idea Consulting Ltd, he made it his mission to help companies of all sizes work cooperatively to strengthen their marketing opportunities. It was through this company that he started working at CVS Cruise Victoria Ltd, the parent company for Pacific Northwest Transportation Services Ltd., as their General Manager.

Jessie Rai
Director, Human Resources

Jessie joined Western Stevedoring in 2022 as the Director, Human Resources and brings 20 years of experience in the Human Resources and Labour Relations disciplines. Jessie thrives in organizations with visionary growth strategies. Her career so far has spanned various industries including: transportation, logistics, telecommunications, information technology and industrial manufacturing. Jessie has been involved in supporting and delivering quality people programs at the senior leadership level throughout North America and different parts of the world. Along with being a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), Jessie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. Jessie has dedicated her career to enriching the lives of employees and holds a proven track record in recruiting and retaining top talent while ensuring alignment with strategic growth plans at the corporate level.

Jordan Welch
General Manager, Victoria Cruise Ship & Deep Water Terminal

Jordan joined Western Stevedoring in 2016 as a Superintendent responsible for both cargo operations and Health & Safety. He took over his current role at the beginning of 2020 and is responsible for the company’s cruise and stevedore operations in Victoria. Prior to joining Western Stevedoring, Jordan spent 25 years in the shipping industry and has held both operational and commercial positions, including agency, carrier operations, commercial management, brokerage and shipboard operations management.

Michael Baker

Michael Baker
General Manager, Ship Operations

Michael joined Western Stevedoring's ship operations in August of 2018 as a Ship Superintendent and was promoted to his current position in September of 2019. Over his 24-year career since joining Western Stevedoring he has worked in all facets of the marine industry on both the terminal and stevedoring side.    During this period, he has gained significant expertise in all aspects of operations as well as deep relationships with customers, employees and industry stakeholders. Michael is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of our ship operations ensuing the effective dispatch and supply of all necessary supervision, labour and equipment to the vessels.  

Michael was born in Montreal and has a BA with a double major in Geography and Sociology from Concordia University. During his time at Concordia he was a double letter varsity athlete playing both Basketball and Soccer for the University. He enjoys the outdoors and coaching his three boys in many sports. 

Miles Hollingbury

Miles Hollingbury
Director Marketing and Business Development

Miles joined Western Stevedoring in 2012 as a Superintendent following an extensive marine career as master mariner, supercargo, port captain, stevedore superintendent, general manager marine facilities and business owner. He was promoted to his current role in 2014 where he utilizes his extensive marine knowledge to further promote and develop company operations.

Paul Morris

Paul Morris
General Manager, Lynnterm

Paul took over as General Manager of Lynnterm in early 2023. Prior to this role, Paul was the Terminals Manager for Squamish Terminals. He has been a part of the waterfront industry since 2002. Paul completed a diploma from BCIT in International Trade and Transportation. He started his career in operations at Fraser Surrey Docks, four years later he made the move to Western Stevedoring in North Vancouver, most recently holding the position of Ship Superintendent.

Roger Dias

Roger Dias
Director of Information Technology

Roger was promoted to his current position in 2018 and currently oversees the technology infrastructure, software development and support services for the company. Since joining the Company in 1987, Roger has held a variety of roles including Senior Systems Analyst and software development team lead.  Roger holds a Diploma of Technology in Computer Systems from the BC Institute of Technology and obtained his Red Hat Certified Engineer accreditation in 2002.

Nick Knight

Nick Knight
General Manager, Squamish Terminals

Nick joined Western Stevedoring in 2018 as Maintenance Superintendent, Squamish Terminals and was promoted to Maintenance Manager, Lynntern and Squamish Terminals in 2020. Nick assumed the position of General Manager, Squamish Terminals in early 2023. Prior to joining Western Stevedoring, Nick spent 18 years in the ship building and marine transportation industries.

Ryan McGillis

Ryan McGillis
BC VPC Manager

Ryan joined Western Stevedoring in 2018 to open the BC Vehicle Processing Centre in Nanaimo. Ryan has diverse background ranging from IT where he acquired his MCSE accreditation to automotive new business start-up and Fixed Operations. With over 20 years of progressive experience and education in automotive Fixed Operations from BCIT and luxury manufactures BMW & Mercedes-Benz. His extensive automotive operations experience along with industry leading customer service and business practices were obtained during his time in the highly competitive luxury market. He has also been an active member of the industry consultation board for Automotive Trades at Vancouver Island University.
